Electronic Travel Authorisations (ETAs) are being introduced worldwide for visitors to the UK who do not currently need a visa for short stays, or who do not already have UK immigration status. Individuals must have an ETA if they wish to travel to the UK.
It permits people to visit for tourism, visiting family and friends, business or short-term studies for up to 6 months at a time. Individuals will usually get a decision within 3 working days, but this may vary.
How much does it cost?
It costs £16 to apply and is valid for 2 years.
